EXPO: Telling A Story

Fotografie is een verhaal vertellen in beeld. Maar hoe doe je dit eigenlijk?
Een groep cursisten met hele diverse achtergronden en verhalen is onder begeleiding van fotografen Abdulrahman H. Jaber en Rogier Boogaard Photography ruim 2 maanden in de wereld van de documentaire fotografie gedoken. De cursisten hebben zelf een fotoproject opgestart en een korte serie gemaakt waarin zij hun eigen verhaal vertellen. De beeldverhalen zijn veelal nog niet af, maar het begin van wellicht een langere en nog diepere zoektocht.
De Voorkamer organiseert deze projecten om een podium te bieden aan de talenten van nieuwkomers en om mensen op persoonlijk niveau aan elkaar te verbinden. Dankzij onze brede en diverse community brengen we veel interessante mensen samen, met fascinerende verhalen om te vertellen! Deze verhalen delen we graag met jou tijdens de opening van de expositie op zondag 28 april om 17:00.

Photography is telling a story through images. But how do you do this?
A group of students with very diverse backgrounds and stories has been diving into the world of documentary photography for more than 2 months under the guidance of photographers Abdulrahman H. Jaber and Rogier Boogaard Photography. The students started a photography project themselves and made a small serie in which they tell their own story. The projects are often not yet complete, but the start of perhaps a longer and deeper search.
De Voorkamer organises these projects to give a podium for the talents of newcomers, and connect people to each other on a personal level. Thanks to our broad and diverse community, we bring together lots of interesting people, with fascinating stories to tell. We would like to share our stories with you during the opening of the exhibition on Sunday 28 April at 17:00.
