Film Screening: The Way Home
Through his quest to better understand the shredded state of his family, Wael questions the long-lasting socio-political crisis in Syria.
Wael has had a turbulent life; he grew up thinking his grandmother was his mother, he survived cancer, and then fled from his home country. Many questions about his past remained unanswered, so he searched for his true story through a series of spontaneous interviews and conversations between him and some of his family members.
Wael, the director, will be at the event for a Q&A and discussion after the film screening.
This event is part of a new project at De Voorkamer called Perspectives, where we create an open space to share and exchange our different views and opinions.
Door opens at 19:00, and the film will begin at 19:30.
