Perspectives - Solidarity: Close and Far - Thursday 12 December
Solidarity: close and far.
What does solidarity mean to you? How can we stand in solidarity with others, both close to us and far away? How is solidarity changing as technology advances? Why do we choose to stand in solidarity with some people and movements but not with others? How does it feel when others are in solidarity with you or your movement?
Around the world, people are standing up for their rights and against oppressive and corrupt governments. From the revolution in Lebanon, to the demonstrations in Hong Kong, the global climate change movement, and the farmers protests in the Netherlands, people are mobilising together for a common cause. How can we stand in solidarity with these movements?
In this edition of Perspectives we will explore and discuss all the above questions. Like always, different opinions and experiences can be exchanged, and everybody is welcome to share their thoughts and ideas.
