Lunchroom
We are happy to share this news with you - De Voorkamer is opening a lunchroom soon! At the end of 2022, we built a professional kitchen in De Voorkamer. Currently, De Voorkamer functions as a coworking space during the day - coordinators, artists, volunteers and local residents work together on De Voorkamer's various projects there.
In the evening we organize our meeting activities where new Dutch people and locals can interact. We see an opportunity to connect even more with the neighborhood by giving further substance to the space. By opening a lunchroom during the day in collaboration with an entrepreneur, we are developing a more sustainable system, connecting more neighbors to our already existing social program, and we see an opportunity to provide employment opportunities for our community.
The lunchroom will maintain the social, cultural and creative character of De Voorkamer. In order to serve our diverse audience - coming from all socioeconomic strata of the population. We are currently in discussions with possible collaborative partners to run the lunchroom, once this is finalized and we have information on when the lunchroom will open, we will of course let you know here so everyone can enjoy delicious meals!
