On the Spot is De Voorkamer's open stage and jam session. A moment where many different musicians gather and many musical styles merge on stage. Next to music, there is also always space for storytellers, performance artists and other art forms. By coming together with people from so many different cultural backgrounds, together we create a new, unique sound! 

You are welcome to jam with many other musicians from all over the world. All instruments, styles and levels are welcome. So don't worry about your skills, anyone can jam! If you don't want to play and just enjoy the performances, you are of course more than welcome!

Culture Shock is a platform for new cross-cultural musical collaborations. It facilitates artistic and social experiences where musicians from different cultural backgrounds are invited to create together for the first time, prepare a unique experience and bring it on stage. Every month, a fresh duo debuts their live performance.

Do you enjoy drawing and painting? Would you like to meet other creatives? Then join our Lino Group! In this art form we use small sheets of linoleum (lino) that we carve to create shapes, images and patterns. After carving the lino, we can add ink or paint to print our image on paper!

The Women's Cafe at De Voorkamer is a place where women from diverse cultural backgrounds can meet and share stories of friendship, love and sisterhood. Each time, together with our community organisers, we organise a different activity. This can vary from cooking and yoga, to a dance workshop or a spa day. At the same time as the women's café, we also organise a children's activity at a different location so that we can really take time for yourself and each other. Hope to see you at the next edition!
